is Board Certified in both Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She previously served as a consultant at the NYU Emergency Room and now maintains a full-time private practice in Manhattan for both medication management and psychotherapy. She is skilled in various psychotherapeutic modalities including supportive, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches and tailors the treatment to the individual needs of each patient. Dr. Halpert combines clinical expertise and a warm, engaging, and empathic approach to treating complex mental health issues over the course of the lifespan. She graduated in the top 5% of her class at SUNY Downstate and completed her residency at NY Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell, followed by a fellowship at the Columbia/Cornell program at NY Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Halpert’s research includes mood and anxiety disorders and she has published articles in these areas and others.
